The thompson arboretum is an incredibly beautiful place. we marveled at individual plants, old historic buildings, trails that wound through wooded areas and over creeks, sitting areas amongst groves of giant palms, cactus to your heart's content, and a trail that combined stopping at a small lake with walking up a high desert ridge. New in 2020-2021!  all tours and programs require pre-registration. all walks except the general tour require a fee of $5/$3 members. these modest fees support bta and allow visitors to reserve their spot necessary because capacity is limited due to public health and safety guidelines.
